Summary

You will serve as a STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST in the NAVAL AUDIT SERVICE of NAVAUDSVC HQ WASHINGTON DC.

Duties

  • You will advise all directorates, senior management, subject-matter-experts, and content owners on all aspects of the strategic communications program.
  • You will coordinate with the Chief of Staff to develop and communicate the organization’s program and policies to the agency, internal and external stakeholders, and the public
  • You will utilize social media and online presence tactics, techniques, and procedures for internal and external communications.
  • You will coordinate and manage the SharePoint web page, agency intranet, and future initiatives.
  • You will serve as an advisor regarding activity operations on handling public relations problems and incidents concerning the enterprise.
  • You will coordinate with legal counsel and the Office of the Inspector General for review prior to all disseminations and communications

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

- Experience managing a strategic communications program through the integration of media relations, social media, civic outreach, visuals, crisis response, and special events.
- Experience collaborating with senior leaders to communicate the command mission, functions, tasks, and polices, to the public and stakeholders.
- Experience interpreting public affair policies and regulations to ensure communication compliance.
- Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with external stakeholders
- Experience developing media monitoring services and generating media analysis trends to target strategic messaging.
