This position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is: You must currently be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the
(GS-13) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Supervising and providing subordinate direction over civil engineering functions for the construction of facilities at major installations and various project sites; 2) Reviewing project plans and maintaining surveillance over civil engineering and utility layouts; 3) Directing inspection of construction operations for compliance with intent of design; and 4) Managing the civil engineering design for the construction of projects at all stages to include conceptual planning, design development, contract advertisement, review of construction design submittals certificates, requests for information, change order, and test results on equipment and materials.
