This position is in the Supervision/Management Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure.
To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by:
- Conducting phases of contract administration processes that include market research, cost and price analysis, solicitation, and selection sources, while providing advisory pertaining to the preparation, negotiation, and award of contracts
- Assisting in development of acquisition packages; providing technical advice on acquisition matters; providing guidance to technical personnel as early as possible in the acquisition cycle
- Reviewing the preparation or editing of documents to ensure accuracy and adequacy and compliance with acquisition policies and regulations
- Program management and oversight responsibility for Federal/DOD Contracting functions, the IMPAC Purchase Card and VISA Convenience Checks Programs
Per Office of Personnel Management qualification standards for the GS-1102 series, candidates for this position must possess a bachelor's degree conferred or approved by an accredited U.S. college or university based on a 4- year course of study AND must have completed at least 24 semester hours of coursework in certain business-related fields. The 24 hours may be included in, or in addition to, coursework taken to complete the degree program.
