Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience demonstrating strong ability to understand and resolve challenging technical shipboard issues, showing proficiency in the areas of Fleet Technical Assistance, Assessments and Inspections, Repair Recommendations, Repair Oversight, and Logistics Support.
Experience fostering internal and external change to meet command/department/ division/branch goals and maintain a mission vision consistent with a continuously changing environment.
Experience creating an inclusive workplace that fosters equal employment, developing and mentoring, instilling cooperation, teamwork and resolves conflicts to inspire people to meet the organization's vision, mission and goals.
Experience demonstrating a broad technical knowledge of naval shipboard systems and components through ship repair, operation, or troubleshooting. Understanding of shipboard equipment testing and assessments, and the identification of out-of-parameter conditions on ships.
Experience with design, maintenance, safety and operation of surface equipment and systems. Knowledge of the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM) and NAVSEA's policies and direction for the management of an acceptable quality assurance organization.
Experience with DOD, Naval, and private sector organizations sufficient to develop networks, build alliances and relationships, accurately identify internal and external politics that would affect the work of the command/department/division/branch and act accordingly, and build consensus and gain cooperation across boundaries to achieve common goals.
Experience with financial, administrative, technical requirements as they relate to broad management of engineering and technical programs in order to function as a top technical and organizational consultant actively participating in the command.
Skill in oral & written presentation that explain strategy, resolve complex programs, provide detailed recommendations, and respond to requests for data. Basic knowledge of computer application programs, statistical spreadsheet charts, Power Point & word processing
