One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-07 for the GS-09 level and GS-09 for the GS-11 level) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
For GS-09: Specialized experience at the GS-07 grade level is defined as: performing financial management data analysis; creating recommendations for business process improvements; and providing customer support for an automated accounting or financial management system.
For GS-11: Specialized experience at the GS-09 grade level is defined as: planning, scheduling and conducting reviews and evaluations on financial management data analysis; analyzing issues or problems, selecting and applying appropriate analytical techniques and methods in order to recommend solutions or improvements to organizational functions.
Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement.
- To be considered for the GS-09, applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-07 or higher in the Federal service.
- To be considered for the GS-11, applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-09 or higher in the Federal service.
