Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing emergency medical response, hazardous materials response, confined space response, high angle response, water rescue response and structural firefighting, 2) Maintain accurate records and perform employee timekeeping activities 3) Prepare fire reports, and approve fire reports 4) Completing accident reports, 5) providing guidance on procedures of fire prevention and life safety practices. NOTE: All experience must be fully demonstrated in your resume to be considered for the position.
Firefighter Certifications:
Must possess the following certifications: Fire Officer II, Fire Inspector I, Fire Instructor I, Hazmat IC, Hazmat Awareness, Hazmat Operations, Driver Operator Pumper, Driver Operator MWS, CPR, EVOC, NREMT. These certifications must have been awarded by DoD, IFSAC or ProBoard to meet the requirement. Also requires National Registry Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT). If you do not possess all of the above certifications, and provide verification with your application, you will be rated ineligible.
