Summary

You will serve as a Supervisory Firefighter of COMMANDER NAVY REGION HAWAII.

Duties

  • You will assign work to junior firefighters or employees based on priorities, requirements, and capabilities.
  • You will identify developmental and training needs of employees.
  • You will verify personnel use the correct personal protection equipment during firefighting incidents to ensure safety.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Plans, distributes, coordinates, and monitors work assignments of others; evaluates work performance and provides feedback to others on their performance; ensures that staff are appropriately selected, utilized, and developed, and that they are treated in a fair and equitable manner. Ability to apply basic emergency medical techniques, including patient assessment, patient treatment, rescue breathing, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and noninvasive medical procedures; ability to prepare individuals for transport to a medical facility.

Certifications:
This position requires the incumbent to possess the following certifications: Fire Officer I, Fire Officer II, Fire Instructor I, Fire Inspector I, Hazmat Incident Commander, Airport Firefighter. Also requires National Registry Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT).
