Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Directly oversee all phases of this training, assigning training to journeymen firefighters for on-job experience; 2) Perform rescue operations on a daily basis; 3) Detection, reduction, or elimination of potential fire hazards; 4) Operation of fire communications equipment; 5) Controlling hazardous materials incidents and/or developing, implementing, or providing training in fire protection and prevention.
This position requires the incumbent to possess the following certifications for this position: Firefighter I and II, Fire Officer I and II, III Fire Instructor I, Fire Inspector I, HazMat Awareness, Operations, Technician, and Incident Commander (under NFPA standards adopted by DOD), Driver Operator Pumper, and possess National Registry Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT) certification. These certifications must have been awarded by DoD, IFSAC or ProBoard to meet the requirement.
If you do not possess all of the above certifications and you have not attached a copy of your transcript or certifications, you will be rated ineligible.
