Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Experience in bulk fuel operations, petroleum logistics, and fuels policies and procedures. 2) Experience in managing large-scale fuel infrastructure, including maintenance, sustainment and modernization projects. 3) Ability to lead and supervise AND strategic planning, budgeting, and environmental.

This may require walking, bending and climbing during visits to various Navy and commercial installations. During the course of this travel, industrial facilities may be visited or toured.
Primarily the work is performed in an office environment requiring normal safety precautions, but entails direct observation of assigned facilities which may include regular and/or recurring exposure to extreme weather conditions while in open storage areas, tank farms, and fuel piers. Additional safety precautions are required during extreme heat/cold and wet conditions.
The employee may be required to use protective clothing or gear such as: protective helmets, masks, gowns, coats, boots, goggles, gloves, floatation devices, and/or face shields. There is also a risk of exposure to hazardous petrol-chemicals, fuel additives, and petroleum vapors. Employee may be required to follow special precautions when working in and around storage areas containing explosives, corrosives, or highly combustible materials. Fire hazards exist throughout fuel terminals and laboratories. Work will generally be within regular duty hours but incumbent is expected to respond to major problems and support requirements, regardless of the hours.
This position is designated as a Mission-Essential position. This is defined as an employee who may be activated to maintain continuity of Government Operations during emergencies involving national security, a natural disaster, extended emergencies, or other unique situations such as snow emergency days, severe weather conditions, holidays, increased security periods, national emergency or other dismissal or closure situations. The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends and/or holidays or shift schedule depending on mission requirements.
Recall to duty may be a requirement of this position and member may be required to be available on-call to deal with security/operational issues that may arise. Overtime and/or emergency overtime may be required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Driver's License and/or government vehicle operator permit.
Incumbent may be subject to occasional travel of up to 25%.
