Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
Basic Requirements:Degree: Engineering. To be acceptable, the program must: (1) lead to a bachelor's degree in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by ABET; or (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); (c)fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f)nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties);and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics.
Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-14, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.
For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience as a Senior Program Manager for the Mechanical, Electrical and Environmental Systems with respect to planning, programming, budgeting, design and execution; experience as a technical authority on all matters involving engineering issues for data processing or other mission critical facilities, and interfaces with the senior staff; and experience in transforming facility issues and recommendations into a facility Five-Year Plan for projects that incorporate Capital Investment, Construction Projects, Lease and Operations and Maintenance programs for facilities into the future.

Education
To be creditable, education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university. You must report only attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions that are recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services at the time of application. There is no substitution of education for the qualifying experienceat the GG-14 grade level.
