SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
In addition to the Basic Requirements, in order to qualify for this position your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities, to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
*Experience with fundamental skills in a variety of disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, electronic engineering and naval architecture associated with the design, overhaul and repair of submarines.
*Experience with pertinent policies, regulations, procedures and overall plans and objectives of Naval Shipyard design functions.
*Experience planning, organizing, and directing large-scale work assignments.
*Experience coordinating all Engineering and Planning Department waterfront support work among the various technical codes representatives, maintaining a current, detailed record of work status and a feedback system.
*Experience performing supervisory duties such as providing technical guidance, personnel, performance and position management; identifying training needs; interviewing/selecting candidates for vacancies; recommending promotions and awards; resolving disciplinary issues and administering EEO policies.
