Summary

This is a National Guard Title 32 Excepted Service Position.

This position is a Permanent GS-0132-13 SUPERVISORY INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D1508P01 and is part of the MO 131st Bomb Wing. This is a non-bargaining unit position.

WHO MAY APPLY: All qualified permanent and indefinite Title 32 National Guard employees who are currently working for the Missouri Air National Guard.

Duties

  • Directs the activities of the Intelligence Collections, Analysis, Targeting, Systems and Training Readiness and Special Security Officer functions.
  • Supervises assigned Intelligence Operations Specialist (officer), Intelligence Operations Specialist(s) (enlisted) and a Special Security Officer (officer/enlisted).
  • Exercises full administrative supervisory authority and full technical oversight over subordinate full-time personnel assigned to the Group Intelligence function.
  • Serves as the Senior Intelligence Officer (SIO) of the organization and exercises overall oversight of Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) programs.
  • Assures the proper authority, accreditation, maintenance, operation, and manning of a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) are established for use in supporting the Group's mission.
  • Oversees coordination with internal and external supporting agencies to assure adequate intelligence systems support is provided to the group intelligence function.
  • Represents the ANG AOC augmentation intelligence element directly within the appropriate Gaining Command's ISR division.
  • Oversees the AOG’s intelligence participation in recommending, testing, and evaluating evolving force-level intelligence information systems and related process initiatives.
  • Assures the intelligence staff is briefed on the assessment of intelligence activities.
  • Serves as the A2 (Air Intelligence Director) and/or J2 (Joint Intelligence Director) for Air National Guard or other exercises involving the AOG participating as an Air Operations Center.
  • Assures that the Joint Force Commander is fully cognizant of pertinent intelligence developments.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidate must currently be assigned to a military unit in the Missouri Air National Guard. Title 32 employees will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor (grade inversion).

Maximum Military Grade - Col (O-6)

Minimum Military Grade - Capt (O-3)

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience, education, or training which demonstrates administrative, professional, investigative, or technical work which required the ability to deal effectively with others; to collect, evaluate and organize pertinent facts; and to prepare clear and concise written reports.

GS-13 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess one year of specialized experience, education or training equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or equivalent that your ability to exercise technical oversight over joint intelligence policy and programs, current intelligence and foreign threat information, situational awareness, intelligence oversight, as well as security related matters including personnel security, information security, and policy and oversight authority for communications security and physical security of arms, ammunition, and explosives. The specialized experience must also demonstrate your ability to develop and recommend policy, organize and carry out specific programs, evaluate and recommend changes in methods of intelligence operations; experience in administrative, investigative, or technical work which required you to deal effectively with others; and experience collecting, evaluating and organizing pertinent facts and to analyze and prepare clear and concise reports.

SPECIALIZED SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience managing the function of the work to be performed that includes the ability to lead, direct and assign work of personnel.

Possession (or previous possession) of AFSC 14N is optimum.

This job does not have a qualification requirement that allows substitution of education for specialized experience.
