Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position.
You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade (GS-/GG-12) in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility.
Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes:
- Acting as a knowledge-based authority in a wide range of IT and telecommunications, cybersecurity, Software Development Lifecycle, agile testing, Cybersecurity/Test & Evaluations policies, Independent Validation and Verification, and Government Acceptance Testing, technologies, processes, test methods, and techniques using a high degree of originality and sound judgment in formulating, evaluating and testing.
- Creating software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, cyber, error or bug retests and usability.
- Briefing key stakeholders and leadership on risk impacts and assessments.
Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies:
1. Cybersecurity - Protect and defend information and information systems in order to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability. (AKA Information Assurance)
2. Application Software - Application Software-design, documentation,
development, modification, testing, installation, implementation, vulnerability management and support of new or existing applications software.
3. Software Testing and Evaluation - Knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools for analyzing and developing software test and evaluation procedures.
4. Systems Testing and Evaluation - Knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools for analyzing and developing systems test and evaluation procedures and technical characteristic of IT systems, including identifying critical operational issues.
