I have one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency includes: Maintaining information technology (IT) configuration management artifacts to detail critical aspects of an organization's cybersecurity architecture.
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency includes: Analyzing customer feedback to improve information technology (IT) customer services.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency includes: Briefing information technology (IT) customers on organizational policy and procedures.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency includes: Performing a risk analysis of information technology (IT) systems to identify problems and recommend solutions.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Advising on cybersecurity issues, performing vulnerability scanning, and recommending and implementing remediation measures; 2) Monitoring IT infrastructure to ensure implementation of cybersecurity safeguards are adequate and consistent with the level of sensitivity of the information; 3) Overseeing the evaluation, implementation, and integration of cybersecurity technologies to ensure they meet security needs and comply with federal security frameworks; 4) Researching, recommending applications of new analytical technologies and techniques for improving methods, results, and procedures to meet cybersecurity requirements; and 5) Leading a project or a team, setting priorities, team building, assigning work, and/or overseeing general administrative issues.
