THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN), Position Description Number D1581000 and is part of the CO JFHQ G6, National Guard.
This position serves as the chief of an information management division/branch.

Duties
Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the organization, ensuring that the advice and assistance provided complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. Develops goals and objectives that integrate division/branch and overall C4 program objectives. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management. Represents the organization with a variety of state and functional area organizations. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with National Guard Bureau and state personnel at all management levels. Performs other duties as assigned.

- Must be a current Permanent GS-12 or higher Federal Technicians in the CO JFHQ-G6.
- Must hold the grade of E-7 thru O-4.

Qualifications
Military Grades: E-7 thru O-4
1. Specialized experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position.

Must have at least 12 months of Specialized Experience in each of the following:
1. Experience that approaches techniques and requirements appropriate to an assigned computer applications area or computer specialty area in an organization.
2. Experience planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment where this entailed coordination with others outside the organizational unit and development of project controls.
3. Experience that required adaptations of guidelines or precedents to meet the needs of the assignment.
4. Experience preparing documentation on cost/benefit studies where is involved summarizing the material and organizing it in a logical fashion.
5. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed.
6. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
Education
Education cannot be substituted for Specialized Experience for this position.
