Summary

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

About the Position: This Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist position is assigned to the Program Executive Office, Command Control Communications-Network (PEO C3N), PMO Tactical Radios, Readiness Management Division, located in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.

Duties

  • Functions as the component expert in the development of IPS plans and is responsible for most or all of the logistics elements.
  • Defines scope, interface requirements, policy issues and performance criteria. Develops milestones. Ensures compliance with policies and recommends policy changes to fit requirements of new systems.
  • Performs the full range of administrative and technical supervisory duties. Responsible for understanding and actively supporting the PEO Affirmative Action/EEO Program, ensuring EEO principles are reflected in all aspects of personnel management.
  • Provides authoritative advice and recommendations that is considered technically authoritative and normally reviewed without change in situations where guidelines and procedures do not exist.

  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for LIFE CYCLE LOGISTICS Foundational Certification within 36 months of entry on duty.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • Business travel required up to 25% of the time.
  • This position is a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP) and requires a 3-year tenure agreement.
  • This position requires the incumbent to possess 4 years of Acquisition experience.
  • This position requires incumbent to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450.

In order to qualify, you must meet the requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience is defined as: 1) Developing life-cycle sustainment plans such as: acquisition strategy plans, development of training products and technical publications, conducting validation/verification events, and/or Materiel Release; 2) Leading Transition to Sustainment efforts on assigned programs with the command; AND, 3) Leading a Supportability Integrated Product and/or Process Team (SIPT) to integrate acquisition and product support activities for an Acquisition Category (ACAT) program.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-03 or GS-13).

Education

  • This is a DoD Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo) position in the NH-04 broadband with an advertised pay range from the lowest equivalent GS grade 14 Step 1 to the highest equivalent GS 15 grade step 10 in the broadband.
  • You will be required to undergo background investigation leading to the successful adjudication of eligibility for a SECRET security clearance. Derogatory information developed during the background investigation, such as a criminal history, could render the selectee ineligible for both the security clearance and continued employment in the position, if already appointed.
