Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Analyze workload, man-hours, procedures, processes and flow of materials to determine the degree and effect of operations and costs;
2) Utilize supply and logistics systems to maintain information pertaining to receiving, shipping, distribution and delivery of services and materials;
3) Plan, schedule, and conduct day-to-day logistics support and projects to maintain effective work operations; and
4) Provide technical assistance with logistics procedures and problems (e.g. transportation, communications, customs clearance).

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

LL.M., if related, degree that is related to the position being filled.

Physical Demands
This position is primarily sedentary. However, while ships are in port, the incumbent will be required to make daily pier visits and perform duties regardless of weather conditions. Incumbent must be able to physically operate in a shipboard environment to include climbing and descending
brows, ladders and accessing hatches/scuttles. Individual may be required to work with material handling equipment, drive standard transmission motor vehicle and lift up to 40 pounds during events of crisis.
Incumbent may be subject to more than occasional travel of up to 25%. This may require walking, bending and climbing during visits to various Navy and commercial installations. During the course of this travel, industrial facilities may be visited or toured.
Work Environment
Work is done primarily in an office setting. Required to visit various warehouse, local DLA Activities, other local activities to conduct business. When ships are in port, incumbent will be performing site visits to piers, berths, or onboard Naval and Coast Guard ships and may encounter
adverse weather conditions, excessive heat/cold/humidity, excessive noise and fumes, smoke or gases. PPE is provided for times incumbent is required to go onboard ships or crafts, go to warehouses or visit shipyard facilities.
NATO SOFA Statement:
The NATO Status of Force Agreement (SOFA) between Greece and the United States prohibits the hiring of any person who holds Greek citizenship/nationality as part of the civilian component with the US Forces in Greece. Souda Bay is a location that is without the Department of Defense Education Activity (DODEA) support normally associated with an overseas assignment. The participating International schools located on the Island of Crete are not conducive for High School Students preparing for College and most high school students attend boarding school.
