Summary

This position is located in the Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), Facilities Services Directorate (FSD), Facilities Operations and Services Division (FOSD), Reservation Logistics Services Branch. This position is responsible for core logistics services throughout the Pentagon reservation.

Duties

Typical work assignments may include the following:

  • Serves as the Contracting Officer's Representative for major logistics contracts.
  • Provides core logistics services consisting of tracking all vehicles, packages, shipments, and deliveries.
  • Provides surplus operations, relocation services, inventory management, property accountability, and audit readiness of general equipment.
  • Reviews, consolidates, and analyzes supply, maintenance, and logistical service reports and recommend actions.
  • Assigns work based on priorities and established organizational responsibilities.

You may qualify at the GS-13 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement:

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrates providing logistical expertise; Leading, coordinating efforts, and improving the effectiveness of logistical support activities: Developing and preparing briefs; Implementing and monitoring execution of logistical support plans; AND mapping sketches and employing logistical strategies.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
