esume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Applicants resume must demonstrate the following specialized experience:
Experience mastering advanced professional marine mechanical engineering principles, along with expertise in related naval architectural and electrical engineering fields, enables the provision of expert oversight and management of ship life-cycle maintenance and material readiness programs, and resolving complex marine engineering issues.
Experience resolving unique and complex marine engineering challenges related to ship design, maintenance, alteration, capital improvements, and repair.
Experience possessing a comprehensive understanding of the MSC organization, its operational and administrative relationships with mission sponsors, internal and external customers, other DOD activities, government agencies, commercial shipyards, regulatory body agencies, and private organizations within the maritime industry.
Experience working with T-AKE class vessels.
Experience in providing supervision, management direction, and guidance to assigned staff, ensuring that Command policy and operational guidelines are consistently met.
Experience communicating complex technical concepts effectively, providing consultative services, persuading engineers, negotiating agreements, discussing engineering deficiencies, and recommending corrective measures.
