Duties
Responsible for assisting Bowling Center Manager with day-to-day operations of the bowling center and facilities. Prepares various daily, weekly, monthly, and semi-monthly reports requiring statistical data. Provides input for budgets as requested by manager and assists in conducting inventories. Compiles necessary data on established forms and submits them to the manager for review and final approval. Performs a variety of office duties such as setting up and maintaining office files, answering telephones and assisting in compiling statistical data into reports as requested. Serves as Timekeeper for all employees and maintains timesheets and schedules in SETS. Verifies payroll, deposits, and daily paperwork in manager's absence. Reviews all subsidiary accounts; verifies all revenue/expense accounts and budgets compared to operating statements. Reconciles subsidiary accounts monthly with NAF Accounting Office (NAF AO). Maintains all necessary files for proper management of P-Card and BPA purchases. Responsible for issue, receipt and control of cash register boxes and change funds. Complies with directives on cash handling procedures and bowling center management policies pertinent to daily and annual fees, rental fees, and storage fees. Accomplishes daily activity reports. Reviews the schedule of functions that are to take place during the assigned shift and ensures they are carried out as planned by management. Provides routine information to customers regarding bowling center rules and equipment. Assures patron satisfaction by resolving complaints and other customer problems. Provides training to employees on cash handling procedures and other activity responsibilities. Assists in organizing sponsored tournaments to include scheduling, preparing documentation and selling retail merchandise. Ensures that only authorized personnel use the facility and that the rules of bowling, Air Force Instructions, and established procedures are followed. Makes recommendations to manager for staffing needs; may interview candidates and make recommendation to manager for selection/non-selection. Prepares schedules, assigns work, approves/disapproves leave requests, maintains discipline and makes recommendations to manager when disciplinary action is needed; makes recommendations to manager on annual & mid-term performance evaluations; recommends award and/or pay increases. Plans and organizes in-service training programs to include, but not limited to safety, resource protection, and POS procedures. In the absence of the manager, ensures that established procedures and policies are carried out, and acts as manager monitoring bowling center operations. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifying Experience:
Must have responsible experience in clerical, office or retail work of any kind which demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of this position. Must also have experience which provided knowledge of cash handling procedures and sales operations such as receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit and use of cash accountability control methods. Preferred specialized experience in a bowling facility which provided knowledge of bowling programs, procedures, and rules and which provided an in-depth knowledge of the operations and functions of a bowling facility. Must have proficiency in typing and computer use including MS Word, Excel, and Internet. Must have experience which demonstrated the ability to provide work direction to employees and knowledge of fire, safety and health regulations. Must possess skill in dealing with the public. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Must be able to workdays, nights, weekends and holidays. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a T1 (Tier 1) background investigation.

Education
