Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the
GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Developing and issuing guidance governing Operations/Plans programs, including guidance required in response to legislative changes; 2) Approving short and long-range plans, goals and objectives for regional Operations/Plans programs and managing work; 3) Developing organization structure, policies, goals and objectives for specific Operations/Plans programs; 4) Directing budget, procurement, accounting and associated final operations for the Operations/Plans programs; 5) Representing the command at conferences involving local, state, and federal agencies having interface and cooperative interests in matters impacting the command; 6) Providing supervisory responsibility for a staff to include performance, EEO, awards, hiring/selections and discipline. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is generally sedentary although some rigorous physical activity is required during regular and recurring visits to field sites.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The majority of the work is accomplished in an office setting; however, visits are required to installations, ships, and aircraft. Occasional travel is required to visit installations and attend meetings.
A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 8.64% will be added to the stated salary.
Eligible DoD career or career conditional employees shall be granted statutory return rights to their former position for a period of 5 years if continuously employed in a foreign or non-foreign area provided by Executive Order 10895 and DoDI 1400.25, v 1230. Employees that do not exercise their return rights within five years are no longer eligible for return rights and will be treated as a local hire.
