In order to qualify, you must meet the
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience to qualify at the GS-14 level: One year of specialized experience which includes:
- Utilizing project/program scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Deltek Open Plan, Oracle Primavera Risk Analysis, Acumen Fuse, COBRA and/or Synchro) to develop and maintain integrated master schedules for civil work projects.
- Developing integrated schedules to evaluate program performance and ensure timely delivery of large-scale civil works projects (e.g., dams, levee systems, navigation locks).
- Analyzing cost, risk, and schedule data to assess readiness and recommend corrective actions for major infrastructure programs (e.g., flood risk reduction systems, inland navigation structures).
- Applying acquisition policies and regulatory guidance to advise leadership on compliance and strategic planning for complex infrastructure initiatives (e.g., dam rehabilitation, lock modernization).
- Leading and supervising cross-functional teams to integrate schedules, resolve conflicts, and optimize resources for multi-billion-dollar infrastructure civil work projects.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13)
