This National Guard position is for a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST-TITLE 32, Position Description Number PDD2651000 and is part of the KY WHFRTC, National Guard.

Duties

As a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST-TITLE 32, GS-2003-11, you will plan, direct, and organize the housing assignment, billeting, and logistical operations of a GTC. Assemble and review budget estimates for the DOL. Determine funding requirements and direct the preparation of budget justifications. Review, analyze, and interpret supply directives and procedural instructions and plans operating procedures to render the best possible support to the training centers and supported elements. Exercise direct supervisory and personnel management responsibilities. Advise and provide counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management. Identify employee developmental needs and arrange for training to improve job performance. Render technical assistance and guidance to the Base Operations Manager, and higher levels of command for logistical services, and assist other directorates with requisitioning supplies and equipment. Meet with National Guard Bureau personnel, other agencies, National Guard Commands and activities on logistical matters, plans, policies, and directives. Collaborate with units to coordinate work-related changes affecting other units as well as plan for training exercises. Develop plans to support continuous training center operations. Coordinate with Army Subsistence Command and other agencies to ensure the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program and other logistical contracts are prepared in accordance with regulatory guidance. Develop plans to logistically support emergency operations in the event of severe weather events and natural disasters. Perform other duties as assigned.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
You must maintain membership in the Kentucky National Guard.
You must be assigned to a compatible military position.
Wear of the military uniform.
Position may require a pre-employment physical.
May be subject to furlough actions.
May be required to successfully complete a trial period.
Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
Must obtain and maintain a favorable adjudication of a T3 or equivalent investigation.
Acceptance of a Federal position may terminate a military bonus.
Acceptance of a Federal position will terminate Tricare Reserve Select (TRS) eligibility.
This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
Must attended Supervisor Training: failure to complete Supervisor Training within 12 months of appointment will result in reversion to previous position.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT:
Experience which has provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field. Experience using computer and automation systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must have at least 36 months experience supervising and/or managing supply personnel and a variety of supply functions. Knowledge on the entire inventory management supply system. Experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues. Experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
