Duties
The purpose of this position is to plan, organize, direct, coordinate and manage all command supply and services functions.
- Plans, organizes and manages supply and services functions to include command equipment/property readiness/accountability management.
- Collects and consolidates data for areas in which operations are anticipated.
- Provides guidance on interpretation of directives and assists units, organizations and activities in supply and services matters.
- Maintains current command supply analysis on trends of effectiveness and efficiency.
- Provides guidance to units on supply regulations.
- Receives fiscal information from each subordinate function to prepare and review budget estimates for the command supply and services functions.
- Monitors required unit equipment inventories and is active in the development, scheduling and execution of special command physical inventories.

- This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the ND Army National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
- Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.

- Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- May be required to successfully complete a trial period.
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- You must be able to maintain a Tier 1 (NACI) security clearance.
- This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
- Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
- Irregular and/or compensatory hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.

QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE
Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. The applicant's record of experience and/or training must show possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position.

To qualify, applicants must have the experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field and the experience using computer and supply automation systems.
In addition to the general experience, applicants must meet the specialized experience. The specialized experience is described asone year of specialized experience at the GS 09 grade level or civilian equivalent which includes: 1) Experience analyzing, developing, and evaluating to improve supply programs, policies, procedures, techniques, etc.; 2) Experience involving the control of supply stocks and accounting for equipment; 3) Knowledge of supply functions, cataloging, maintenance, and disposal procedures; 4) Experience requiring person-to-person contacts to convey information and ability to compile reports, letters, memoranda, etc.
