I have one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: review user account requests;
review and ensure RMF packages are correct and containing appropriate mitigation statements; performing compliance monitoring and reporting.
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: identifying and resolving IT workforce issues, business processes, engineering concepts, and conducting studies designed to identify potential improvements in the way information technology is applied to key business functions.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, considering the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include:
be able to break down IT/cyber issues/risks to the programs and communicate them effectively to C-suite level executives; communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders on cyber related topics; be able to provide clear direction to team of government and contractors on correcting cyber vulnerabilities.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include:
assessing cyber risk/vulnerability and recommending mitigation without breaking the program; be able to identify relevant alternatives to maintain system security and policy compliance while retaining its flexibility and efficiency to support the requirements given by stakeholders.
In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or nh-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying cybersecurity policy and planning concepts and practices sufficient to support the development of Software Design and Development and Enterprise Architecture for IT modernization plan.
