To qualify for this position at the GS-7 level, you must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-6) in Federal Service, that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties and that is typically in or related to the work of this position? Specialized experience includes performing administrative support functions such as tracking data and statistical information; scheduling appointments; coordinating meetings and conferences; preparing correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other forms of written communication; preparing travel arrangements; utilizing office automation software and maintaining files; receiving visitors and telephone calls to the office. Applicants must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Specialized experience includes providing administrative support to an organization and performing a variety of clerical and administrative duties; drafting a range of communication/correspondence; scheduling appointments and meetings; coordinating travel and conference schedules; serving as a liaison with management and support staff; and utilizing office automation software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Applicants must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and must possess excellent organizational skills. At this level, applicants will perform duties independently and exercise sound judgement. NOTE: Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must clearly indicate the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position. IMPORTANT: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. All experience listed on your resume must include the month and year start/end dates. Physical Requirements: The work is mostly sedentary, however may include some walking, standing, bending, and carrying of light items such as papers, books, small parts, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work. The work is performed in an office setting that is adequately heated, lighted, and ventilated.
