You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of specialized experience which includes work with federal, state, municipal, or private protective organizations performing facility access control measures, granting access to persons and vehicles with appropriate authorization, operating physical access control equipment such as barriers or other tools to secure buildings or access points, safeguarding personnel, information and critical assets, preventing theft, damage and trespass through enforcement of security policy or regulation, recording visitor information to determine if appropriate authorization for access exists. Such experience must provide knowledge of protective systems and techniques. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
