Duties
The United States Space Force (USSF) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Cape Canaveral, Florida is searching for a Security Specialist, Operations and Integration to support the Systems Delta 80/SZ unit (NH-0080-03, GS-12/13 equivalent).

Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated Information Protection Security professional to serve as an NH-03 Government SAP Security Officer (GSSO) supporting the National Security Space Launch (NSSL) Operations Integration Directorate. In this critical role, you will help safeguard some of the organization's most sensitive information, systems, facilities, personnel, and mission assets in an increasingly complex and evolving threat environment. You will provide expert technical advice and hands-on leadership across Special Access Program (SAP) security, classification management, security incidents and violations, education and awareness, inspections, access management, and contractor security oversight. This is an opportunity to build, improve, and lead a mission-enabling security program in a fast-paced stand-up organization. You will apply innovative, risk-based solutions; integrate security across multiple disciplines; lead and develop a blended government-contractor team; and work closely with program offices, engineers, mission partners, and the broader United States Space Force security enterprise. Key Skills and Abilities:
1. Expert knowledge of program protection, physical, system, information, industrial, personnel, operations security concepts, principles, and practices to plan and implement security programs in these areas.
2. Comprehensive knowledge of organization's missions, functions, and structure to ensure effective implementation of oversight of special programs security concepts, principles and practices.
3. Knowledge of government contractual practices and requirements for development and purchase of USAF acquisition programs and/or supporting programs/projects. Must be familiar with Defense Industrial Base security organization, operations, and management practices.
4. Ability in developing, analyzing, and evaluating security programs to meet mission requirements and improve the security program for the Delta Commander.
5. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret / SCI security clearance.
- Safeguards classified or sensitive budget-related information and/or files.
- May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
- Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed “Unscheduled Telework”.
- Employee may be required to perform travel by military or commercial passenger aircraft in the performance of temporary duty assignments.
- PCS is not authorized. Incentive is not authorized.
- This position is designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program.
- Security Certification Coding: SFPC: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification required within 2 years of EOD.
- Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): 15 days a year.
