Security Training Specialist

Join the MO 131st Bomb Wing as a Security Training Specialist, where you'll play a crucial role in developing and implementing comprehensive training programs for security forces personnel. This permanent role invites individuals with a commitment to safety, security, and law enforcement to enhance the protective capabilities of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and monitor security forces training plans.
  • Design training aids and materials, ensuring compliance with directives.
  • Conduct meetings and workshops related to security forces training.
  • Perform Combat Arms (CA) training duties, emphasizing safety.
  • Ensure weapons training programs comply with DoD, AF, and local standards.
  • Manage the installation’s ground weapons training and maintenance program.
  • Serve as an instructor and inspect ground weapons.
  • Coordinate and implement training activities for the unit.
  • Direct the activities of a Security Forces Flight/Section.

Qualifications

Must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-08, demonstrating ability in security management and training programs. The role requires:

  • Experience managing an Intrusion Detection System (IDS) program.
  • Ability to compile, analyze, and summarize security requirements.
  • Capability to resolve a variety of security-related issues and improve program effectiveness.

Requirements

  • U.S Citizenship and security clearance eligibility.
  • Completion of prescribed courses within the first year of employment.
  • Successful passing of pre-employment medical, background, and drug tests.
  • Capability to perform physical duties involved in security tasks.
  • Must be able to carry firearms and complete law enforcement training.
  • Valid driver's license.
