Qualifications
GS-15: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of SE equivalent to the GS-14 grade level. SE is defined as follows:
- Experience in enterprise engineering, IT management and operations, system integration, hardware and software development, and sustainment sufficient to organize the research and development of technical standards and solutions that promote the insertion of new communication technologies in an effective manner across the Bureau.
- Experience with IT theories, principles, concepts, standards and practices sufficient to serve as a senior expert and consultant to top agency management officials to advise on integrating communication systems with other programs of equivalent scope and complexity.
- Experience with enterprise telecommunication systems, sustaining base and tactical arenas, and related functional activities to considering the technical and system architecture, interoperability, interfaces, protocols, networking, expansion potential, end-to-end compatibility, standardization, and emerging information technologies into the Enterprise Infrastructure.

There are no educational requirements at this level.

If you are selected, you will be required to serve a two-year probationary period. Probationary employees are precluded from being considered for all job opportunities until 12-months of their 24-month probationary period has concluded. Probationary Employees may be considered for competitive vacancies that are advertised within their respective division or field office after serving 90 days within the FBI.
