GS-14: You MUST have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector). Specialized experience is experience investigating as the lead investigator in hazardous materials accidents involving complex failure modes such as packaging, hazardous materials classification, emergency response, closure and mode selection as a representative of either a local, state, Federal agency or as an employee or contractor for a hazardous materials shipper, transporter or packaging manufacturer, testing laboratory or emergency response specialist, while presenting the facts from the investigation in writing; and experience analyzing evidence gathered to reconstruct the events before, during and after the accident by applying the principles of logic statistics, and other fields.
