Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Systems Integration Engineer position will possess the following qualifications: Technical Expertise: Extensive knowledge of systems integration principles, cloud computing, networking, security, database management, and related technologies. Experience with various operating systems, hardware platforms, and software applications. Proficiency in relevant programming languages and scripting. Project Management: Demonstrated experience in managing complex systems integration projects from inception to completion, including planning, design, development, testing, and deployment. Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall). Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues in a timely and effective manner. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, collaborate with team members, and manage stakeholder expectations. Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in systems integration, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects. Experience working with government agencies or in the aerospace industry is a plus. Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required. A Master's degree is preferred. Contracting Officer's Representative duties: Relevant experience with acquisition planning and contract monitoring will be required. Other Work Requirements: 1. Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. 2. May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments. 3. May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis. 4. Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise; employee must obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Knowledge of professional electronics engineering concepts, principles, practices, standards, methods, techniques, materials, and equipment to effectively apply advanced engineering theories, principles, and concepts to project development, execution, and advisory services.
2. Knowledge of development testing and evaluation sufficient to apply experimental theories and new applications to issues and provide technical advice and direction in support of weapon systems, subsystems, and/or support equipment.
3. Knowledge of range instrumentation and systems, integrated air-vehicles, ground systems, and support equipment sufficient to plan, design, test, troubleshoot, evaluate, and oversee the development and/or sustainment of electronic systems or devices.
4. Knowledge of the principles of planning and program management, standard acquisition regulations, practices, and procedures; and other engineering disciplines.
5. Ability to devise and evaluate criteria, parameters, characterstics, and interrelationships for design approaches, and to assess the impact of new technology on current systems and processes.
6. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing, as well as work in a professional manner with peers, management, contractors, academia, and other agencies.
