Duties

  • As shift manager, is always on the move to observe and evaluate a business operation for efficiency and accomplishment of planned functions and events.
  • Pre-briefs line level employees at start of shift and provides business plan for the day, any needed direction and guidance. Carries out work in accordance with policies, regulations, directives, and requirements.
  • Exercises judgment on routine matters where discretion is permitted. Seeks higher level approval on more significant matters that involve conflicts, or a change in policy and protection of funds.
  • Accepts fees, issues change, directs the conduct of operations, and performs rounds and inspections, and relief personnel. Performs line level work as required based on the immediate needs of the operation.
  • Completes and maintains various reports and files. Performs counts. Secures facilities and assets as required. Briefs incoming shift managers.

  • This position may require regular lifting up to 20 pounds and occasionally and carrying up to 50 pounds.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • This is a rotating shift schedule which may include evenings weekends and holidays.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.

Qualifications

Progressively responsible work experience that indicates the ability to work with minimal supervision, use sound judgment, and accomplish tasks within established timeframes using available manpower resources. Must have a working knowledge of automation and software. Must possess good tact and diplomacy, interact well with people, and be able to communicate in a clear, concise, and grammatically correct manner. Must know how to prepare and manage reports.

HIGHLY QUALIFYING CRITERIA:

- At least 1 year overseeing and managing Food and Beverage Snack Bar operations. Experience must be clearly demonstrated in your resume.
- At least 1 year working experience in an MWR activity. Experience must be clearly demonstrated in your resume.

PCS Costs
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.

Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials
  • This is a pay-banded position.
  • Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
  • Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
Incentives and Bonuses
  • Incentives will not be paid.

  • Foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
