For this position, the work is defined as:
I am able to perform and have held jobs in which I performed regular and recurring work leading a crew of workers performing Small Craft Operating tasks involving watercraft of varying sizes and have the ability to lead operation of a 32-foot, six-ton dual outboard boat with up to 27 occupants. I have the capability to independently dock and secure boats to dock and canal structures. I possess the ability to navigate a boat in narrow canals under varying flow rates. I am able to communicate with other units involved in boat operations such as dispatch, supervisor(s), and deckhands. I maintain logbooks to record passenger counts. I can perform the majority of watercraft operation and navigation functions with minimum supervision from journeyman leads.
