Duties
- Responsible for assisting a higher level employee or actions officer with the planning and executing of community special events that respond to the needs and interests of the military/civilian population
- Submits a cost analysis of special events prior to implementation and after each event.
- Continuously evaluates the effectiveness of ongoing activities and coordinates events with Marketing/Commercial Sponsorship, and supervisor, prior to scheduling special events or prior to submission of special events for five-year plans.

Qualifications
Possess three years of progressive work experience with at least one year performing duties such as assisting in planning and executing of community special events for a wide range of participants and adapting based on the interests and needs of the community such as: yard sales, 4th of July Celebration, Comedy Clubs, Variety Shows, etc. At least one year of experience must demonstrate the ability to analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; plan and organize work; and communicate effectively orally and in writing.
OR
Possess a bachelor's degree with major study in outdoor recreation and parks; event management; recreation management; youth, public, urban or community recreation; or special population recreation.**
OR
Possess a combination of education and experience as outlined above. Education and experience is defined as two years of education in major study in outdoor recreation and parks; event management; recreation management; youth, public, urban or community recreation, or special population recreation and one year of experience assisting in planning and executing of community special events for a wide range of participants and adapting based on the interests and needs of the community such as: yard sales, 4th of July Celebration, Comedy Clubs, Variety Shows, etc. At least one year of experience must demonstrate the ability to analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; plan and organize work; and communicate effectively orally and in writing.**

1. Possess at least one (1) year experience providing oversight, planning, and executing events for 50+ patrons such as concerts, comedy shows, holiday events, etc. within the last five (5) years.
2. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
3. Possess a valid driver's license and be willing to drive-in all-weather conditions to include snow/ice for transportation of talent to and from areas of greater than five (5) miles as mission dictates.
4. Willing and able to work nontraditional hours alone to include long nights and weekends along with midnight airport runs for Talent.
