Duties
The United States Space Force (USSF) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Cape Canaveral, Florida is searching for a Special Security Representative (SSR) to support the 645th Cyberspace Squadron (NH-0080-03, GS-12/13 equivalent).

Description:
As a Security Specialist, you will be entrusted with the monumental task of administering a wide array of security programs. Your expertise will be the bedrock upon which we build our defenses.
You will:
Lead and Innovate: Develop, implement, and manage all aspects of Collateral, Special Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) security.
Protect Critical Assets: Administer specialized physical, information, industrial, and personnel security programs.
Be the Expert: Serve as the go-to specialist for all security-related matters, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks across a portfolio of highly sensitive and classified programs.
Key Skills and Abilities:
1. Knowledge and expertise of a wide range of advanced concepts, principles, criteria, requirements, technology, communications, foreign disclosure, classified contracts, and practices involved in security and DoD SCI directives and regulations.
2. Knowledge of personnel security processes and regulations in collateral, SAP and SCI control systems to administer and/or lead a team of security professionals.
3. Knowledge of security systems, procedures, theories, and devices sufficient to consider and apply several alternatives according to the security requirements for highly specific situations, availability of materials, relationships with other protective programs, and cost/benefit considerations.
4. Comprehensive knowledge of security program interrelationships to coordinate the objectives and plans of two or more specialized programs to support and promote information sharing and strategies.
5. Skill to interpret a variety of security program laws, directives, regulations, and guidance to assist organization in establishing and operating internal security programs.
6. Knowledge of security procedures to handle, protect, and maintain control of TS/SCI/SAP classified material and media.

- Must be a U.S Citizen.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret / SCI security clearance.
- Safeguards classified or sensitive budget-related information and/or files.
- May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
- Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed “Unscheduled Telework”.
- This position will close after 5 business days or 75 applications, whichever comes first.
- Employee may be required to perform travel by military or commercial passenger aircraft in the performance of temporary duty assignments.
- PCS is not authorized. Incentive is not authorized.
- This position is designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program.
- Security Cooperation Practitioner Proficiency Level: Incumbent must attain DoD Security Cooperation Workforce (SCW) Certification and complete related continuous learning requirements.
- Security Certification Coding: SFPC: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification.
- Security Cooperation Workforce Development (SCWD): SC2A2: Key; Policy and Resourcing; Practitioner
- Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): 15 days a year.
