In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Experience using Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required. Experience with the principles and practices of marketing, public relations, commercial sponsorship and advertising, military recreation and morale, welfare, and recreation business operations is highly desirable. Experience with Air Force Regulations concerning Force Support activities; their operation and the impact sponsorship and advertising would have on the organization is also highly desirable. Must have experience in written and oral communication techniques to explain, justify, and complete all required staffing paperwork. Must have experience in working under timelines and rigid deadlines and with working with various types of managers, public affairs, and media personnel. Experience with Adobe applications (In-design, Photoshop. etc.) and Associate Press Writing Guidelines is desired.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Experience using Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
2. Experience with the principles and practices of marketing, public relations, commercial sponsorship and advertising, military recreation and morale, welfare, and recreation business operations.
3. Experience with Air Force Regulations concerning Force Support activities operation, sponsorship and advertising.
4. Experience in written and oral communication techniques.
5. Experience in working under timelines and rigid deadlines and working with various types of managers, public affairs, and media personnel.
6. Experience with Adobe applications (In-design, Photoshop. etc.) and Associate Press Writing Guidelines.
