Duties

  • Supports activities and services of the athletics and intramural sports program. Provides oversight of events and tournaments.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of athletic facilities.
  • Assists in setting up for special events and sports tournaments.
  • Assists with publicity of events and tournaments and assists with the delivery and placement of posters, flyers, and other promotional material
  • Provides outstanding customer service with an emphasis on courtesy.

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, Chapter 2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
  • Must obtain and maintain a nationally recognized certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED within one year of employment.
  • Physical required. Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance.
  • Must be able to endure physical demands beyond normal requirements including prolonged standing and walking and must be able to work in settings where exposure to moderate discomforts may exist.
  • Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule, to include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

1. Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of the position.
2. Must be able to obtain a nationally recognized certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED

HIGHLY DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. One year of full-time work experience in the sports and fitness industry.
2. Current nationally recognized certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED.

Area of Consideration:

  • The Area of Consideration for this vacancy announcement is the local commuting area. Commuting area is defined as Fort Greely and surrounding areas within 150 miles of the installation. PCS Costs
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials
  • This is a pay-banded position.
  • Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
  • Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
Incentives and Bonuses
  • Incentives may be paid.
  • Up to a 25% recruitment and/or retention incentive may be authorized.
  • Incentives are not guaranteed and are based on eligible employment categories.
Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
