Duties

  • Supports activities and services of the athletics and intramural sports program. Provides oversight of events and tournaments.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of athletic facilities and performs minor maintenance on athletics equipment. Ensures adherence to safety regulations and procedures.
  • Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Assists in setting up for special events and sports tournaments. Assists with publicity of events and tournaments.
  • Provides outstanding customer service with an emphasis on courtesy. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • This position requires a pre-hire physical.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
  • Must obtain and maintain a nationally recognized certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED within one year of employment.
  • Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance.
  • Must be able to endure physical demands beyond normal requirements including prolonged standing and walking, and must be able to work in settings where exposure to moderate discomforts may exist.
  • Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule, to include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of the position.
  2. Must be able to obtain a nationally recognized certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED.
HIGHLY DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. One year of full-time work experience in the sports and fitness industry.
  2. Current nationally recognized certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED.
