Conditions of employment

Qualifications

A qualified candidate will possess the following:
Knowledge of a wide range of principles, concepts and techniques that govern physical fitness programs which includes knowledge of exercise science, strength conditioning, nutrition, weight loss/control, cardiovascular endurance, exercise requirements and projected results as would be gained through a four-year undergraduate degree in Sports or Recreation Management or through three years of relative experience.
Knowledge of bio-mechanics, fitness testing and exercise prescription supplemented with a knowledge of proper procedures in the use of strength training equipment, nutrition, exercise, physical fitness programming and testing equipment.
Skill in planning and executing a comprehensive fitness, aquatics, and/or sports program that includes a variety of fitness and aquatics activities and individual and team sports.
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology as related to exercise and physical fitness.
Knowledge of military physical fitness standards and testing procedures.
Knowledge of the physical and psychological factors that impact training, performance and recovery of individuals and team sports.
Ability to perform the full range of supervisory duties.
Knowledge of CNIC's EEO policy and procedures
Knowledge of NAF and/or APF budgeting processes including ability to prepare budgets.
Skill in the use of Microsoft Office Programs (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
Knowledge of safety, fire and environmental regulations and procedures.
Ability to develop and effectively deliver presentations and/or training
Skill in developing and adapting new methods, approaches and procedures for the most effective management of a fitness program.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Education
Four-year undergraduate degree in Sports or Recreation Management. Transcripts must be attached to application for consideration.

Three years of relative experience

Salary is dependent on experience and/or education.
Some positions have special requirements. Selectee may be required to complete a one (1) year probationary period.
