To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 06/19/2025.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-11 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-09. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.

Individual Occupation Requirement (IOR): An IOR is a basic requirement that must be met in order to qualify for entry into this job series, and it is something that can't be waived. The education must be accredited by an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.
To qualify for the GS 2101 occupational series, applicants MUST possess one of the following:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-09 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to experience that demonstrates a knowledge of the transportation function(s) of the position to be filled.
OR,
Education: Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, or other fields related to the position.
In addition to meeting the Individual Occupational Requirement as listed above, applicants must also meet the
Specialized Experience, which is experience that is directly related to that of the position.
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-09 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.
Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
- Management of all transportation activities, including patient transport, Special Mode Travel (SMT), mileage reimbursement claims, transportation contracts, 911 ambulance claims, inter-facility transfers, and common carrier transportation.
- Oversight and compliance management of transportation systems including regulatory guidance, and program effectiveness.
- Management of all transportation contracts, including common carrier, Special Mode, ambulance and air ambulance.
- Administration of routine, urgent and emergent transportation needs, and matters related to resource allocation, program development, supervision, Fund Control Point management, inter-service collaboration, community resource development with internal and external collaboration and analytical assessments, including managing the BT Behavior/Audit processes/policies/remediation/reporting.
