BASIC REQUIREMENT:
Degree: biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
FOR THE GS-15 LEVEL: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-14 level) that may have been obtained in the private or public (local, county, state, Federal) sectors which demonstrates:
- Experience identifying deficiencies in program areas and making recommendations to management officials concerning appropriate corrective action.
- Experience developing plans to meet short- and long-term goals of an organization, including strategic and operational planning.
- Experience leading teams and motivating team members to accomplish group goals.
- Experience leading agriculture-related regulatory programs, including but not limited to plant health, pest exclusion, or import programs.
- Experience working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders or cooperators to effectively develop and manage Agricultural Quarantine and Inspection programs.
Note: There is no education substitution for this grade level.
TRANSCRIPTS are required if:
- This position requires specific coursework or a degree in a specific field to be basically qualified.
- This education must have been successfully completed and obtained from an accredited school, college, or university
