Duties
The primary purpose of this position is to direct, coordinate, review and evaluate the performance of regional criminal investigative and intelligence programs, physical security and law enforcement programs and functional activities.
Duties performed:
- Review, modify, and approve internal plans, projects and procedures.
- Plan the overall approach and resources to be devoted to the criminal investigations program and determines priorities consistent with FPS national directives and policies.
- Formulate program targets and develop plans, methods and techniques to ensure the management of all criminal investigative law enforcement, and physical security programs.
- Plan and assign work, delegating authority as appropriate; set and adjust priorities as necessary; develop performance standards and appraises work, giving advice and/or instruction as required.
- Meet with selected headquarters senior managers and other FPS Regional Directors to develop and recommend national criteria to be applied in the standardization of procedures, interpretation of policy and procedure and the development and execution of programs consistent with the intent of Congress.
