About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Supervisory Emergency Management Specialist to join our team at FEMA Region One. In this role, you will be at the forefront of delivering disaster recovery assistance to our community, working directly with six states and seven tribes in our region. Your expertise will drive the successful implementation of Individual Assistance Programs, ensuring seamless collaboration with federal, state, local, and tribal partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on and deliver Individual Assistance programs, ensuring effective disaster recovery services across Region One.
- Lead and direct collaborative efforts with various partners for the effective delivery of post-disaster recovery efforts.
- Manage and inspire a team, providing innovative strategies to enhance emergency recovery programs and methods.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Pass a comprehensive background investigation for Public Trust Moderate Sensitivity.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Government credit card.
- Availability for deployment with minimal notice, potentially requiring relocation and extended stays.
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to IC-12 level in emergency management or disaster recovery operations.
- Proven track record of overseeing staff and managing emergency management operations to meet organizational goals.
