To qualify at the GS-11 grade level, applicants must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.

Specialized experience must include the following:
1. Applying budgetary and accounting systems regulations, practices, and procedures to effectively utilize APF & NAF funds;
2. Reconciling balances sheets accounts, providing analytical review of financial reports, records and data;
3. Identifying areas and types of corrective action needed, corrects records or advises the appropriate customer contact of action that may need to be taken;
4. Monitoring property accountability of program equipment and inventory & providing guidance on NAF retail inventory controls;
5. Compiling and acting as a first level of review for financial account data and reports for audit process;
6. Utilizing financial software and systems to monitor budget execution;
7. Coordinating the data to provide a solid status of financial commitments, obligations and expenditures.

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the
work of the position or LL.M, if related (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the
percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours
minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
All academic degrees and coursework must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions.
