For all positions, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.

Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined:
Specialized Experience to qualify for the GS-14 level:To qualify for the GS-14 grade level, you must possess at least one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or higher in the Federal service (or private sector equivalent) that has equipped you with the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. Specialized experience is defined as:
- Experience managing Operations or construction of Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud native solutions
- Experiences and driving and maturing DevSecOps Pipelines, Automation, and culture within an organization,
- Experience managing a team to resolve complex information technology system problems and issues and
- Providing advisory services involving information technology budget planning and execution.
