Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least
one full year (52 weeks) (preferably 5 years) of specialized experience which is in or directly related to the line of work of this position.
Specialized experience is demonstrated experience performing the tasks and meet the skills, knowledge and abilities as described in NIST Special Publication 800-181 National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) Cybersecurity Workforce for the roles of Defensive Cybersecurity (PR-WRL-001), Incident Response (PR-WRL-003), and Threat Analyst (AN-WRL-006).
Highly Desired:
- Must have 5+ years of hands-on technical experience planning, executing, and documenting proactive and iterative hypothesis-based hunts with minimal direction.
- Must have 5+ years of experience reviewing unstructured/structured application logs from custom applications.
- Must have 3+ year of experience performing system administration of Linux and Windows systems including knowledge of Windows and Linux OS internals and networking.
- Extensive knowledge of different types of adversaries, from script kiddies to Advanced Persistent Threats (APT) tactics, techniques, and procedures and understanding of possible attack activities such as network probing/scanning, DDOS, malicious code activity, etc.
