Education
This position requires the incumbent to be Tier III qualified in accordance with SECNAVINST 1754.8. Must possess one of the following:
- Master's degree from a program accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Education Programs or an equivalent degree. Master's degree from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education or an equivalent degree.
- Master's degree in Social Work from a graduate school of Social Work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education or an equivalent degree.
- Doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited university or professional school and a 1-year APA accredited clinical internship.
Proof of education MUST be uploaded at time of application for consideration. If degree is not conferred, you MUST provide a copy of your high school diploma or equivalent with your college transcripts.
When education is a basic requirement for the position, or when substituting education for experience, applicants MUST submit a copy of high school transcripts, college transcript, or a list of courses which includes grades earned, completion dates, and quarter and/or semester hours earned as part of the application package.
Foreign education must include evidence that it is comparable to education received at accredited educational institutions in the United States.
All substitutions of education for experience will be made in accordance with OPM approved qualification standards. Only attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education are acceptable to meet positive education requirements or to substitute education for experience. Additional information
This position is located at NSA Singapore. If selected, relocation to the local commuting area (50 miles) is required.
This position requires Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel up to 20% of the time away from the normal duty station to attend or give training or attend conferences or provide support for regional issues. Travel may include traveling by military and/or commercial transportation.
May be required to man Emergency Operation Center or Family Assistance Center, and may be on a twenty-four hour, seven-day week, on-call status. "Emergencies" will be designated as such by higher headquarters, but may include natural disasters, disasters at sea to ships and/or planes, or other mass casualty situations.
Position is telework eligible in accordance with applicable policy.
Salary is dependent on experience and/or education.
Some positions have special requirements. Selectee may be required to complete a one (1) year probationary period. Participation in Direct Deposit/Electronic Fund Transfer within the first 30 days of employment is required.
