Duties

  1. AS SUPERVISES PERSONNEL AND PROVIDES ADVICE/ASSISTANCE TO THE COMMANDER ON BUSINESS PROCESSES AND PERFORMANCE/EFFICIENCY OF THE SQUADRON.
  2. AS SENIOR TECHNICAL ADVISOR, ON LOGISTICS READINESS, AEROSPACE EXPEDITIONARY FORCES (AEF), AND CONTRACT MANAGEMENT ISSUES, PERFORMS/LEADS STUDIES AND PROVIDES ADVICE/ASSISTANCE/POLICIES AND PROCEDURES ON DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMNETATION OF READINESS MISSION CAPABILITIES ASSOCIATED WITH CARGO AND PASSENGER
    MOVEMENT, SUPPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT, EQUIPMENT AND VEHICLES, VEHICLE MAINTENANCE, WAREHOUSING, DEPLOYMENT/RECEPTION AND DELIBERATE PLANNING AND OPERATIONS, FUELS OPERATIONS, QUALITY ASSURANCE, PLANS/PROGRAM/RESOURCE MANAGEMENT.
  3. ASSISTS IN THE DIRECTION/LEADERSHIP OF BROAD STUDIES OR PROVIDES ADVICE TO KEY GROUP OFFICIALS AND/OR SUBORDINATES ON CARGO AND PASSENGER MOVEMENT,
    SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT, EQUIPMENT AND VEHICLES, DEPLOYMNET PLANNING AND OPERATIONS, FUELS OPERATIONS, AND LOGISTICS PLANS/POLICIES/PROCEDURES THAT IMPACT AGILE COMBAT SUPPORT MISSION ACCOMPLISHMENT.
  4. REPRESENTS THE INSTALLATION FOR GROUP/SQUADRON LOGISTICS READINESS ISSUES AT HIGHER MANAGEMENT-LEVEL MEETINGS WITHIN THE ORGANIZATION AND WITH INSTALLATION, CENTER, MAJCOM, AND OTHER AGENCIES.

Qualifications

Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-03, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-13 or equivalent in the Federal Service. Specialized experience must include working with cargo and passenger movement, air terminal operations, supply chain management, equipment and vehicles management, deployment planning and operations, fuels operations and cryogenics, and logistics plans under peacetime and wartime conditions to develop policies and procedures.

IDEAL CANDIDATE: Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and supervise, mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff on an organization through subordinate supervisors.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of the laws, regulations, principles, and practices of cargo and passenger movement, air terminal
operations, supply chain management, equipment and vehicles management, deployment planning and
operations, fuels operations and cryogenics, and logistics plans under peacetime and wartime conditions to develop policies and procedures for a Squadron, Group, and FSR (Full Spectrum Readiness).
2. Skill in analyzing issues and formulating solutions to complex problems.
3. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and supervise, mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff on an
organization through subordinate supervisors.
4. Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of subordinate installations/organizational segments to
meet Program requirements and objectives within available resources.
5. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy.
