WHO CAN APPLY:
GROUP I - All qualified Male/Female Commissioned Officer (O1/2nd Lt - O4/Maj) currently employed (permanent) in the Virginia Air National Guard Military Technician Program.
GROUP II - All qualified Virginia Air National Guard Male/Female Commissioned Officer (O1/2nd Lt - O4/Maj) regardless of employment status (Traditional, Military Technician or AGR). To be considered as a Group II applicant, proof of appointment/enlistment in the Virginia National Guard must be attached if the appointment/enlistment occurred within 60 days prior to, or during, the advertisement period.
Group III - Individuals eligible for membership in the Virginia Air National Guard.
Military Grades: Commissioned Officer (O1/2nd Lt - O4/Maj)
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have experience, education, or training directing and managing subordinate functional areas, as a technical expert over these functional areas and to serve as the principal logistics support advisor.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must you have at least 12 months experience of specialized experience, education, and training, equivalent to at least the GS-11 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government? This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector, but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. This experience must include activities such as:
- Experience providing oversight for squadron plans, goals and standards for war readiness and overall logistical support.
- Experience directing logistical activities to ensure overall objectives and program goals are met.
- Experience exercising direct supervision over subordinate personnel.
- Experience ensuring fiscal programs are developed and implemented which accurately forecast and control allocation of resources in areas of TDY, supplies, equipment, ground fuel, equipment maintenance, contract services, communications, etc., according to established policies and projected schedules.
